我的主要研究领域为宋明理学。 硕士论文题目是戴震对宋明理学伦理学的批判，博士论文主题是朱熹的心性工夫论。博士毕业后，我曾两度到德国柏林自由大学的Dahlem人文研究中心从事两个博士后研究项目。2018年4月至2019年2月我在加州大学伯克利分校从事学术访问。我曾长期任教于武汉大学哲学学院，所讲授的课程包括「中国哲学史（先秦两汉）」、「中国哲学史（宋元明清）」、「四书导读」、「老庄导读」、「先秦中国哲学专题」等。在香港中文大学所讲授的课程包括「中国哲学史（先秦两汉）」、「先秦儒家哲学」、「中国哲学专题研究」（《传习录》导读、《朱子语类》导读等）。我近些年就朱子学与阳明学中的诚意与自欺问题、理学与佛学的关系、宋代万物一体观、王阳明的良知观念等论题在中英文期刊中发表过几篇论文，发表专着《诚意关——从朱子晚年到王阳明的哲学史重构》（人民出版社，2022年）。
